DESIGN NOTES

Using one accent color

Where MOVARO uses lime, and where black and white do the work.

This site uses black and white for its backgrounds and most of its text. The dark sections suit the graphics; the white sections give longer text a plain background. Lime marks a few labels, links, and larger areas.

The lime is #C5F24B. It appears on blog categories and article links, behind highlighted text, and across the footer. Using one color for these elements keeps the pages consistent.

The amount of color changes with the task. A small colored link identifies an action. A highlight picks out a phrase. The lime footer separates the contact information from the page above it.

White makes a thin lime line hard to see. On the studio introduction, the highlighted phrase uses dark text with a wider lime strip behind it. The letters remain readable, and the color has enough area to show.

Most text and dividing lines stay neutral. If every item had the accent color, a reading link or highlighted phrase would be harder to pick out.
